Marble Universe” – a Journey from Budapest to Istanbul

The exhibition focuses on presenting the rich cultural heritage of the ebru, highlighting the delicate balance of craftsmanship and spirituality. Through vibrant colors and swirling patterns, the exhibited works evoke the timeless nature of marbling, reflecting the Sufi philosophy of unity and harmony.

The main motif of the exhibition is the tulip motif, which is a symbol deeply connected to Ottoman culture, which is often seen as a reflection of purity and divine beauty. Each piece draws from the masterpieces of ebru artists who have passed on their knowledge through generations, preserving the lightness of this ancient art. The purpose of the exhibition is to celebrate the lasting heritage of the Turkish ebru, paying tribute to the master artists who keep the tradition alive.
